Ruggles is our 18-hole championship course located at Aberdeen Proving Ground. Built in the mid-1950's and designed by Ed Ault, it is truly a traditional masterpiece. Measuring almost 7,100 yards from the black tees, while offering additional courses of 6,811 yards (blue tees), 6,247 yards (white tees), 5,636 yards (gold tees), and 5,545 yards (red tees), it provides a wide range of length and challenge to golfers of any skill level. The gentle rolling hills and mature tree-lined fairways will provide a true championship challenge for golfers of all abilities.
The facilities include a full practice range with natural and artificial tees, large putting green, practice bunker and short game chipping area, and a fully stocked pro shop. Golfers can relax and dine in the Sutherland Grille, offering hot and cold sandwiches (breakfast available on weekends), beverages and domestic beer, with satellite television featuring the best of Direct TV entertainment and sports packages.
