THE GOLF COURSES AT APG
The Courses at Aberdeen Proving Ground offer golfers the opportunity to play distinctly different golf courses within the two areas of the installation. Membership opportunities are offered to all active duty military, retired military, Department of Defense civilian workers/ contractors, family members, and also to Harford County residents.

Built during the 1950's, the original 9-hole design was by William Gordon; the expansion to 18 holes was by Ed Ault; and further course renovations were by Dan Schlegel. The course is truly a traditional masterpiece. Golfers of varying skill levels may select from our new tee complexes: Short (red) tees: 5,546 yards; Medium (gold) tees: 5,636 yards; Intermediate (white) tees: 6,548 yards; Long (blue) tees: 6,824 yards; and Championship (black) tees: 7,111 yards.
The Sutherland Clubhouse and parking areas were renovated during 2009, offering both golfers and non-golfers a casual relaxed dining experience on the patio or in the refurbished dining room.
