Dear Aberdeen Athletic Center Patrons,

     In order to provide our users with the best possible gym and fitness facilities, the Aberdeen Athletic Center will be undergoing a renovation starting on or about May 3, 2010.  This renovation will last through the end of October, 2010.  In order that the facility can remain operational we are planning the renovations to be done in stages.  The following is a list of work to be done and the approximate dates for construction.  Areas listed will be closed or usage restricted as listed.

UPDATE:

Renovations will continue through the end of October.

The Men's locker room is completed.  Complete with new hardware, new showers, lockers and the floor has been refinished.

Due to HVAC installation the two racquetball courts will be closed through Sep 24. Please call 410-278-7933 for more information.

The cardio, Nautilus and free weight equipment is available to use.  It is temporarily located in the gym while those rooms are being renovated.

We ask all patrons to be patient and obey the signs throughout the building.

May 4 – May 10
Men’s Toilet (located near issue room) - Closed - Patrons will use toilets located in Men’s Locker room.
Women’s Toilet (located near issue room) – Closed - Patrons will use toilets located in Women’s Locker room.
Equipment Room – Closed – Equipment will be stored and issued in the gym.
Admin Area – Closed – No impact on patrons.
Facility Entry Ways - Half the entry way will be closed – No impact on patrons.

May 4 – May 12
Free Weight Room – Half of the room will be closed during during non peak hours or work will be done when facility is closed.

May 4 – May 13
Main Corridors - Work will not prevent patrons from entering facility and accessing all work out areas and locker rooms.

May 17 – June 17
Men’s Showers – Temporary Shower Facilities Provided and Racquetball court currently housing exercise bikes will be use for changing area. Bikes will be moved to the side of the gym.

June 18 - July 27
Women’s Showers - Temporary Shower Facilities Provided and Racquetball court currently housing exercise bikes will be use for changing area. Bikes will be moved to the side of the gym.

July 28 – August 12
Basketball Court Refinishing - Main Gym Closed.

August 13- September 8
Racquetball Courts (2ea) Conversion to Fitness Area 1 court available for play.

August 28 – September 1
Racquetball Court #5 Refinish floor -– 1 court available for play.

September 2 – September 8
Racquetball Court #4 Refinish floor - 1 court available for play.

September 8– September 14
Final inspection of renovation.
