School Support Logo logoThe School Liaison Officer works in conjunction with Child, Youth and School Services and the local school communities to address educational issues involving military connected children. Through partnering with the local and military community, the School Liaison Officer acts as a communication link between the installation and the surrounding school districts. For more information, contact your School Liaison Officer.

Note: Impact Aid forms are normally sent home with your child in Oct/Nov for Harford County Public Schools (HCPS) of each school year.  Impact Aid helps fund construction, remodeling and other efforts to accommodate federally connected students.

HOME-SCHOOLERS: The Child, Youth and School Services (CYSS) at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) is currently trying to establish a partnership with authorized users who home-school their children in the Aberdeen and Edgewood areas. The CYSS facilities are willing to open during specific days and times during the week so that children who are home-schooled can have access to our classrooms, computer lab and gym on a scheduled basis. Sponsors of registered home-schooled children and youth are responsible to provide student instruction and supervision during the entire period of use. The CYSS facilities will generally be available when CYSS children and youth are in school and CYSS staff is available to provide facility access. Facilities will not be available on school holidays, evenings, weekends or federal holidays. All home-school users must be registered with the CYSS Parent Central Office.
